Players in the Southeast Asian region have been hoping for Microsoft’s Game Pass service to be available in their country as it’s a subscription service that offers access to hundreds of games to download and play for a monthly fee. Microsoft offers an Xbox and PC version of Game Pass, and it’s good to hear the PC offering is now something to consider for those in the five SEA countries mentioned above.

“At Xbox, our mission is simple, to bring the joy and community of gaming to everyone on the planet. Bringing PC Game Pass to new countries in Southeast Asia is an important part of how we will achieve this as we strive to reach billions of players.”

“PC Game Pass features a large library of high-quality titles from diverse game studios, with experiences from every genre. Xbox Insiders will get the first opportunity to experience the value that PC Game Pass offers, and we look forward to making the service available to more gamers soon,” said Xbox Asia Business Lead, Jeremy Hinton.

This announcement comes on the same day Sony announces PlayStation’s new PlayStation Plus that offers two new tiers, giving players access to a library of games and their cloud-streaming service PlayStation Now (for select regions).
