Peacemaker, Omni-Man, and Homelander Is Coming To Mortal Kombat 1 in Kombat Pack 1
/Developer NetherRealm Studios released two new trailers for their upcoming fighting game Mortal Kombat 1 with one confirming Li Mei, Tanya, and Baraka will be playable characters at launch with Goro and Darrius as Kameo Fighters.
The other, is a pleasant surprise as the game’s first post-launch DLC pack that contains playable characters Omni-Man (Invincible), Peacemaker (DC), Quan Chi, Ermac, Takeda, and Homelander (The Boys).
The Kombat Pack 1 DLC will also include new Kameo Fighters such as Ferra, Johnny Cage, Khameleon, Mavado, and Tremor. The pack will also include a Jean-Claude Van Damme skin for the playable Johnny Cage character.
They didn’t state an exact timeline as to when these DLC characters will slowly be added but the trailer did state that Homelander will be available in Spring 2024, so it’s likely he will be the last character from the pack to be added to the game.
This isn’t the first time the Mortal Kombat series had collaborations with other iconic characters from different franchises as previous Mortal Kombat games had the Alien franchise’s Xenomorph and a Predator in Mortal Kombat X. Then, in Mortal Kombat 11, the game featured DLC characters such as Robocop, Arnold Schwarzenegger’ T-800 from Terminator, Rambo, and a lot more.
Mortal Kombat 1 is set to launch on September 14, 2023 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is now my favorite title from the Persona team by far. It’s one of those rare games where its main pillars work harmoniously, and you get lost in its charm. It’s a pristine JRPG, with enough style and substance to satisfy hardcore JRPG fans, Persona fans, and even those who rarely touch JRPGs.
