Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Is Coming to PC This July 2023
/Sony Interactive Entertainment is bringing the latest entry to Insomniac’s Ratchet & Clank series Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart to the PC platform on July 26, 2023. It will be available in both Steam and Epic Games Store.
PC features for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
According to a blog post from PlayStation, the PC version of Rift Apart will feature unlocked framerates, raytracing reflections, and shadows. This version will also support NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 2, Intel XeSS, NVIDIA Reflex, and NVIDIA DLAA. The game will also have ultrawide support
Naturally, you will be able to play the game with a keyboard and mouse but also play the game with the PS5’s DualSense controller.
Those interested in picking up the game early get the Pixelizer Weapon and Carbonox Armor Set as pre-order bonuses on both Steam and Epic Games Store. If you want to get more goodies for the game you can opt for the Digital Deluxe Edition, which is the 20th anniversary Armor Pack and five other armor sets that were inspired from previous games in the series.
This is arguably one of the best from the series and is still one of the good reasons to get a PlayStation 5 as it really shows the quality current-gen consoles can deliver. Rift Apart was an easy 9/10 for me.
This is Sony’s continued push to release PlayStation’s first-party titles to the PC platform. The last title released on PC by PlayStation is The Last of Us Part 1, which sadly received a rocky launch as it was plagued with bugs and performance issues. Hopefully this won’t be the case for Rift Apart in July.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
