Tekken 8 Season 1 Trailer Showcases New Features and Content, Reveals Lidia as Next DLC
/Bandai Namco Entertainment has released a new trailer for Tekken 8 showing off the game’s first season, showcasing upcoming free features such as Photo Mode, a new chapter in the game’s main story, Online Practice mode, Ghost vs Ghost, and more.
They also revealed the second DLC character for Tekken 8’s first season will be Lidia Sobieska. This character first debuted as a DLC character for Tekken 7 and is Poland’s Prime Minister in Tekken’s world. She’s set to release in the Summer of 2024, following the release of Eddy Gordo, the fighting game’s first DLC character which was released at the start of April. Lidia is part of the game’s Year 1 Pass, who still includes two more unannounced DLC characters coming out this Fall and Winter.
The trailer also mentioned a balance patch for the game as well as other free content such as a new stage called Seaside Resort, a fitting theme considering Lidia and all the content mentioned in the trailer is considered the Summer update for the game. They are also adding Photo Mode to the game.
In Autumn, a new story arc will be released, and it looks like this new story injects the new DLC characters added to the game. Further down the line we will get more modes such as Online Practice and even the ability to have one Ghost battle another.
Tekken 8 is now available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
