Tekken 8 Set to Release on January 2024, Will Launch With 32 Fighters
/Bandai Namco Entertainment was present at Gamescom 2023’s Opening Night Live event to reveal not only six new characters joining the main roster of Tekken 8 but to also announced that it will launch on January 26, 2024, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
You can watch the new trailer below, which reveals Kuma, Steve, Shaheen, Dragunov, Leo, and Yoshimitsu as playable characters.
The trailer not only gives us a glimpse of the new characters but also a first look at the game’s new game mode called Arcade Quest, allowing players to create cute avatars to navigate through an arcade-like space to emulate going to the arcades. This mode allows players to interact with one another, customize their avatar, host tournaments, and of course play Tekken 8 with whoever you meet.
Arcade Quest mode will have a currency system called Fight Money, which can be used to purchase cosmetics for your avatar.
This is separate from the game’s story mode which tells the new chapter in the Mishima storyline.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
