Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Comes to Steam, New Class Teased

Gearbox Software and 2K Games announced that the PC version of looter shooter Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will be releasing on Steam on June 23, together with the upcoming DLC content titled ‘Molten Mirrors”.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, a spin-off Borderlands title where you play one of Tiny Tina’s Bunkers and Badasses campaigns (D&D), first launched on consoles and PC but through the Epic Games on March 25. There was no word of when the game would hit Steam until now.

The third DLC for the game, Molten Mirrors, is part of the game’s first season pass. The fourth DLC planned will also introduce the game’s fourth class called the Blightcaller. Here’s their description of the class based on the press release.

“This shamanic elementalist channels spirits and summons storms to wear down foes with poison and elemental damage. As the seventh class to be introduced to Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, the Blightcaller will bring even more player customization by further expanding the deep multiclass system in the game.”

A full art of how the class will look was released but no actual gameplay just yet.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will release with two editions on Steam; a Standard Edition priced at $59.99, and a “Chaotic Great” Edition priced at $79.99. Both at launch will have a discounted price for a limited time but 2K didn’t mention the amount. Users that pick up the game on Steam before July 7 will receive the ‘Golden Hero Armor Pack’. No details were provided on what’s available in the Golden Hero Pack.

If you’re curious about Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands and were bummed by what you’ve experienced in Borderlands 3, you’ll be pleased to know this is a better offering. In my review of the game, I consider this spin-off the “best modern Borderlands game out there today. Despite its issues, Gearbox Software has delivered its best take on the Borderlands gameplay, paired with genre-appropriate humor and a setting that reminded me why I enjoy diving into this type of looter shooter every now and then.”
