Yakuza 8 Is Now Called Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Set for an Early 2024 Release
/During the Xbox Showcase, Sega revealed a new teaser for Yakuza 8, which is now officially called Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, an RPG featuring Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu both being the protagonists of the game.
It’s a rather silly teaser with Kasuga waking up on a public beach (seems to be Hawaii?), completely naked, and just confused with the whole situation.
Right now, Sega isn’t saying much as they plan to give more details about this game at the RGG Summit Summer 2023 online event happening on June 16 at 11 AM UTC +8. But Sega did share new screenshots of the game showing Kiryu’s new hairstyle (shown above) and the return of Yakuza: Like a Dragon characters Yu Nanba and Koichi Adachi.
Sega and RGG released a teaser for their other title Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name during the 2023 Summer Game Fest. This title, which brings the game to its brawler roots, is focused on Kazuma Kiryu and is filling the gaps in his overall Yakuza story leading up to Infinite Wealth.
As for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, we’ll know more this week as the game will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
