You can loot much faster in Horizon Forbidden West’s 1.09 patch

Guerilla Games’ Horizon Forbidden West just received a new patch last week and to everyone’s surprise it adds a new option to make looting items materials much faster. 

It’s a subtle change but speeds up the process of you picking up resources in the world as the option allows you to remove Aloy’s pickup animation. Normally, Aloy extends her arm to illustrate she’s gathering the item in front of her, and she does this each time you gather. This new option skips the animation, saving some time as you can quickly pick up items close to each other much faster than before.

If you want to give this option a try, it can be found in the game’s Settings. Head to the General Tab and all the way down you’ll find the ‘Pickup Animations’ toggle. Set that off and you’re all set to pick things much faster.
