RAD is coming out on August 20th, for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch — that’s exactly three months from today! https://t.co/74qvXAiJGH pic.twitter.com/EcgWXhlt0U
Rad was officially announced back in March and is being directed by Lee Petty, who previously worked on Double Fine’s doll-themed adventure Stacking and the sci-fi platformer Headlander.
The game is set in a world called Fallow and has an 80s aesthetic look. This radioactive wasteland gradually mutates your teenager with abilities as you progress through the game. Every stage is procedurally generated and the abilities you earn are randomized, and it can get crazy, like, poop spider-like versions of yourself to aid you in battle kind of crazy.
