Diablo III: Eternal Collection Is Diablo III On Switch, Says Forbes Leak
/Diablo 3 is on its way to the Nintendo Switch. It’s really happening, and not just because we saw Blizzard make a sneaky tweet earlier this year.
Forbes accidentally published an article by regular contributor Erik Kain that merrily confirms that the game will be coming to the Nintendo Switch as “Diablo III: Eternal Collection.” By accidentally, we mean the article seems to have slipped past the embargo line, and has been taken down since.
Since then, outlets like Kotaku confirmed that this announcement was set for tomorrow. Diablo III: Eternal Collection will bundle together the original game, 2014’s Reaper of Souls expansion and last year’s Rise of the Necromancer pack, which reworked the Necromancer among other additions to the core experience.
And in what is becoming the norm for any Switch port, there will be Nintendo-themed exclusive content. Among them are Echoes of the Mask cosmetic wings, a Tri-Force portrait frame, a pet chicken and a Ganondorf-themed set of cosmetic armor usable for any class.
The Forbes report says it will be possible to team up with friends online, but that will require a subscription to Nintendo’s soon to arrive online service. But like a good little Switch game, local multiplayer options will feature too. Four adventurers can play together on one Switch, assuming each has their own controller or joy-con or on separate Switches via wireless connection.
An exact release date was not revealed for the Diablo III: Eternal Collection, beyond a vague "later this year.” Thanks for staying awhile to read this.
After 15 years Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is now available on PC, Xbox Series, and even PC Game Pass. But it didn’t launch smoothly as at launch players experienced numerous bugs and issues as they returned to The Zone.
