Battlefield 2042 Is Now Available Through PC Game Pass, Just in Time for Season 3
/The latest entry in the Battlefield series, Battlefield 2042, is now available to PC Game Pass subscribers starting today, November 23, 2022. All you need to do is download the EA app, link it to your Xbox account and you’re all set to download if subscribed.
The release of Battlefield 2042 comes just in time for the game’s third season called Escalation, which is now live and adds new content, such as:
New map: Spearhead
New Specialist: Rasheed Zain
New Vehicle: EMKV90-TOR (Tank)
New Weapons: Rorsch Mk-4 (Railgun), NVK-P125 (Secondary), NVK-S22 (Shotgun)
New Gadget: Throwing Knife
New Vault Weapons: XM8 LMG, A-91
The new season also comes with two map reworks for Breakway and Manifest maps. As for the new Specialist Rasheed Zain, he enters the battlefield providing a semi-automatic Airburst Launcher called the XM370A designed for close-quarter combat to flush out enemy infantry taking cover.
He then has a Perseverance perk that allows him and other Specialists near him to recover health faster after taking out an enemy.
Battlefield 2042 going free to play for a limited time this December
EA and DICE are going all out in making a comeback after Battlefield 2042’s disastrous launch last year. Starting in December, Battlefield 2042 will be free to play for a limited time on multiple platforms. Xbox players can try out the game from December 1 - 4, Steam players on December 1 - 5, and PlayStation players from December 16 - 23.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
