Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, a spiritual successor to Jet Set Radio
/On July 20th, 2020, Team Reptile (developer of the stellar Lethal League) dropped teasers on their Twitter account of an image saying "BRC" and a short video playing the sound of a spray paint can being shaken and used to reveal a date for 07/22/2020 along with a link to their Discord server teasing a new game. Jump to today where a teaser trailer for a game titled Bomb Rush Cyberfunk went up and looks to be a spiritual successor to the Jet Set Radio series.
Everything about BRC screams Jet Set Radio. From the looks, sounds, and themes of the game from only seeing a short fourteen-second trailer. At a glance, you'd think this is an actual sequel to JSR. The blocky cel-shaded models and baggy clothing to the color scheme of the graffiti-filled city. The only noticeable difference seen so far are the lack of in-line skates. Not to say that you can't pull off any tricks and grinds as the main character appears to be wearing soap shoes and can be propelled with a jet pack strapped to his back.

- In the game you can choose a character from your crew and explore the three-dimensional streets freely.
- Each stage is a neighborhood that represents one time of day.
- You can grind, slide, jump, trick and airdash to move around
- The goal is to get your name up, your name up on the wall. Every stage has many spots to find where you can paint graffiti.
- You will encounter a lot of weirdos.
No release date has been set as of yet. Sadly, all we know is that the game won’t be coming out in 2020, which is understandable due to the current complications. The game is currently focused on single-player content in mind and no multiplayer has been confirmed at the moment.
Spanish indie developer Unfinished Pixel revealed their new game called Blightstone, a tactical roguelite RPG set to release on Steam early access sometime in 2025.
