GungHo Online Entertainment just released a new gameplay trailer for Ninjala, a free-to-play online action game coming to the Nintendo Switch on May 27, 2020.
First revealed in the March 26 Nintendo Direct Mini online presentation, Ninjala is a competitive online game that allows players to play a series of ninjas participating in the Ninjala tournament.
Here are the key features provided by Nintendo.
Ninja-Gum – Use Ninja-Gum to blow bubbles that can be tossed at your foes, craft all sorts of weapons, and dash across stages. The appearance and variety of your weapon will vary depending on the type of Ninja-Gum you use.
Competitive Play – Take part in Battle Royale-style matches of up to eight players and vie for supremacy with ninja around the world. The player who earns the most points over the course of the match will be declared the winner. Score points by defeating your opponents, obtaining items, destroying drones positioned across the stage, and more. Earn extra points by taking down your opponents with an IPPON—impressive finishing techniques.
Cooperative Play – Join up with friends and take part in a 4-on-4 team battle. Cooperate with your teammates and earn more points than the opposing team to be declared the winner.
Avatar – A colorful variety of costumes and accessories from an array of unique fashion brands are available. Choose from a wide variety of avatar items which can be combined as you see fit. You can stick to one brand for a consistent look, or mix and match to create a style all your own!
An animated film that is close to 10-minutes long was also released to not only know more of the world of Ninjala but also give a taste of the game’s cast of characters and it’s tone.
It’s episode 0, so you can expect more Ninjala episodes filled with lore as we get closer to the May 27 release.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii reuses the Infinite Wealth setting that still feels fresh and exciting for many and is packed with an absurd pirate theme that reminds us that the Yakuza series can go anywhere it wants and still find ways to entertain. Over 10 hours in, Pirate Yakuza is already showing that RGG can still give reason to invest time on their spinoff projects.

A couple of weeks after the launch of anime extraction shooter Synduality: Echo of Ada, Bandai Namco and developer Game Studio revealed that the game’s season 1 update will include a new map called East Amasia, new Requests (quests), gear, and more.
Synduality Echo of Ada has potential, but its flawed economy, tedious grind, and lack of meaningful story incentives make it hard to recommend in its current state. Without drastic improvements, it risks being forgotten before it ever finds a steady audience.
Sony will no longer require PC players to sign up for a PSN account to play any of Sony’s games when they become available on PC. Moving forward, the incentive for having a PSN will be in the form of in-game rewards.
