Dead By Daylight Resident Evil Chapter Confirmed By Behaviour Interactive
/Behaviour Interactive announced that Dead by Daylight will finally get a Resident Evil Chapter and it’s planned to come out sometime in June 2021. More details will be revealed about the next content drop during the game’s 5th anniversary celebration slated on May 25.
You can check out the teaser for Chapter 20 below.
Based on a press release sent out regarding the reveal, Creative Director Dave Richard says it’s "an absolute honor and joy to welcome the original survival horror game" into The Entity's universe, and that players can expect "iconic content and novel ways to sacrifice or survive inspired by the renowned franchise."
Now the big question is what kind of killer based on the Resident Evil franchise will joining Dead by Daylight, and what iconic character will be a survivor?
In Resident Evil, there’s a lot of choices to choose from as they can easily include monsters like Nemesis, go a bit more inhuman by including Albert Wesker, or even go grotesque by including William Birkin infected with the G-Virus. For Survivors? Choose your pick from any protagonist from the series. Heck, even something completely unexpected like Rebecca Chambers.
This isn’t the first time a chapter was dedicated to a video game franchise. Last year in May, Dead by Daylight received the Silent Hill Chapter update which includes Pyramid Head as a new killer and Cheryl Mason as a survivor. It was revealed last May and was eventually released in June, and it looks like the Resident Evil Chapter is receiving a similar reveal and release schedule.
Dead by Daylight is constantly being updated as at the end of March, they released Chapter 19, which adds the Trickster, a K-pop killer that throws knives to down his victims, and survivor Yun-Jin Lee, who is the manager of the k-pop that eventually evolved into being a serial killer.
Behaviour Interactive is also hard at work on a new patch that adds the rework of the Coldwind Farm made and a few balance chances to the game. These changes and updates are already in the Player Test Build (PTB) for players to test around and try the changes.
After 15 years Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is now available on PC, Xbox Series, and even PC Game Pass. But it didn’t launch smoothly as at launch players experienced numerous bugs and issues as they returned to The Zone.
