Destiny 2 Season of Defiance Weekly Reset - What is Happening in Week 10
/This week’s reset in Destiny 2’s Season of Defiance (Season 20) marks the start of the 2023 Guardian Games! It’s one of the annual events that will last for the rest of this season.
Destiny 2 - Season of Defiance Week 10
2023 Guardian Games is live!
Forget all that happened in Lightfall, it’s time to side with your class and earn those Medallions!
This year features a new Scout Rifle, the Taraxippos, Destiny 2’s first Strand Scout Rifle and so far the perk pool has some interesting options. We’ll wait a few days if there are must-get perk combinations, but i’m aiming to see if Gutshot Straight plus Kill Clip will be good for PvP or Fourth Time’s The Charm + Hatchling for PvE.
You can read all you need to know about this year’s Guardian Games here.
Featured Grandmaster Nightfall is not worth it
This week’s featured Grandmaster is not the best as it features The Militia’s Birthright, a weapon I’m not too fond of in general. It also has a tough Strike this week as players will need to go through the new and improved Arms Dealer. Watch out for those Threshers, nerfs can’t stop them.
With enough Ciphers, you can focus on the featured Adept weapon. You just need 10 Nightfall Ciphers, 50 Legendary Shards, 1 Vanguard Engram, and 50,000 Glimmer. And yes, you still can only carry 10 Ciphers.
Also, new players attempting Grandmaster should take note that your fireteam needs to earn a Platinum medal upon completing the run as doing so guarantees an Adept drop. So, be sure you kill all the champions in the Strike.
Featured Raid and Dungeon for Week 10
Week 10 features the Vault of Glass raid and will offer all the challenges for that raid, giving you another chance to earn some Timelost weapons from the raid’s loot pool.
For the featured Dungeon, we have the Pit of Heresy, which is a good spot to earn high-stat gear.
The Bright Dust store is Guardian Games themed this week
This week’s Bright Dust offering isn’t all that great compared to previous weeks but it’s a great opportunity to pick up skins from previous Guardian Games as there are a couple on offer right now and will likely be like that in the coming weeks. The standout offer this week is the Vex Mythocast’s Class of its Own Ornament, plus the new Free Throw emote, which is just 400 Bright Dust.
If you want to show your Guardian Games spirit, I suggest picking up the Up for Grabs shader available in the Featured section of the in-game store.
As usual, the usual changes for each featured raid dungeon, the modifiers for each one have changed and you can have a look at what to expect on the Destiny 2 subreddit page.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has the potential to be a favorite for fans of the franchise, delivering an authentic Indiana Jones experience with its story and cinematic presentation. While the game shines in its exploration and puzzle elements, the combat and stealth mechanics’ lack of gameplay variety holds it back.
