Marvel’s Midnight Suns Coming to PS4 and Xbox One Digitally on May 11, Storm DLC Also Coming
/Firaxis Games and 2K Games have announced that the strategy game Midnight Suns will be released on previous-generation consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One digitally on May 11, the along with the Blood Storm DLC. This DLC includes a new playable character, X-Men’s Storm, a new upgrade for the Abbey, and new missions.
Storm is one of the strongest mutants due to her ability simply controls the weather. In the DLC, she reunites with Wolverine and Magik as she is in search of a mutant child in New York. Her investigation leads her temporarily join the Midnight Suns as the new story missions that come with Storm are also themed around vampires.
When Midnight Suns launch digitally next week, all previous post-launch DLCs, which added Deadpool, Venom, and Morbius with their missions, will also be available to PS4 and Xbox One consoles. They can be bought separately or accessed if you purchase the Legendary Edition of the game since it includes the game’s season pass.
The release of the Blood Storm DLC is the fourth and last DLC promised to come from the season pass, so only time will tell if Firaxis Games will spend more time supporting the game beyond this.
Firaxis also announced that they have canceled releasing the strategy game on the Nintendo Switch as they did not cite a reason for discontinuing the plan to release it on the console.
I still consider Midnight Suns one of the best games to come out of 2022 as the implementation of its card system was so well designed that it delivered the tension and importance of every move you make, a staple in Firaxis’ games as a mission can go spiraling out of control with a single play from either side.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
