Fortnite Turned Into An Arcade Shooter During Galactus Event
/ Carlos Hernandez
Epic Games concluded Fortnite’s Marvel-themed season with a showdown against Galactus himself with the help from heroes like Iron Man and a repurposed battle bus. This ends Chapter 2 Season 4 and starts Season 5.
It was a quite a sight - seeing Galactus in all his glory. Players camped around the helicarrier to witness the event unfold and after Galactus muttered the worlds “Beware. I hunger”, he swats the helicarrier out of the sky, but players were then assisted by Iron Man himself as they give you a jetpack to stay in the air. As soon as he started his world-ending plan, players find themselves driving a battle bus rigged with explosives and are tasked to navigate the famed vehicle toward Galactus’ mouth, because apparently he will most likely eat it.
Then, you see tons of battle bus’ also rigged to explode heading towards Galactus and suddenly the game becomes an on-rails arcade shooter as the player needs to shoot drones out of the sky with the battle bus to get closer to the cosmic being.
You of course succeed and Galactus explodes, leaving the Fortnite island safe once again. After the event, the game went down for a bit with a timer as to when Chapter 2 Season 5 begins.
