Ghost Of Tsushima Set For A June 2020 Release In The Philippines
/Ghost of Tsushima, One of the PS4’s remaining PlayStation exclusive before the release of the PS5, will launch on June 26, 2020 in the Philippines.
First announced in E3 2020, Sucker Punch Productions (Infamous, Sly Cooper) is ready to release their next title, which is an open world adventure game set in late 13th century Japan in Tsushima Island - considered as the last stand between mainland Japan and the inevitable Mongol invasion led by Khotun Khan.
You play as Jin Sakai, one of the last surviving members of his samurai clan that’s forced to adapt and implement the way of the Ghost - setting aside the traditional ways of the samurai in order to effectively fend off the Mongol invaders in this now war-torn land.
It’s a visual spectacle and it’s hard to believe this is an open world adventure that will allow players to explore an expansive terrain in Tsushima from open fields to ancient forest. With what has been shown so far, this is a title that’s maximizing the full potential of the PS4’s hardware. One of the console’s ‘last hurrah’ this year before Sony moves on to the next generation.
The samurai’s katana will be Jin’s main weapon of choice in the game but will be equipped with a variety of other weapons and tools as you progress that evolves Jin from a loyal samurai warrior to some sort of katana-wielding ninja assassin named Ghost. There will be stealth ninja-like executions, smoke bombs to conceal your escape, and the traditional bow to take down enemies from long range.
In presentation, you can expect a good amount of homages to classic Japanese cinema. Akjira Kurosawa’s films such as Seven Samurai and Sanjuro, just to name a few, were major influences when the developers at Sucker Punch started working on Ghost of Tsushima . They’ve also applied a lot of effort to be as historically accurate in terms of the environments, structures, clothing, and the culture during that time.
The physical standard copy of Ghost of Tsushima is priced with a SRP of PHP 2,999, while the Collector’s Edition will be priced higher and will be announced at a later date.
After 15 years Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is now available on PC, Xbox Series, and even PC Game Pass. But it didn’t launch smoothly as at launch players experienced numerous bugs and issues as they returned to The Zone.
