Here Are Your Free PlayStation Plus Games For April 2021
/Sony Entertainment Interactive has announced the free games coming to PlayStation Plus subscribers this April will be Oddworld: Soulstorm, Days Gone, and Zombie Army 4: Dead War and they will be available for download starting April 6.
PS5 owners gets another treat as the latest entry in the Oddworld series Oddworld: Soulstorm will be available to all PS subscribers this April. Take note that this is only for the PS5 version. Soulstorm is also coming out on the PS4 when it finally launches on April 6 but sadly that version won’t be free to download through PS Plus for the previous-gen players.
PS4 isn’t left hanging as there are two solid titles available to download onto the system, and both have zombies in them, weirdly enough. The open-world Days Gone will be available for download starting April 6 as we as Zombie Army 4: Dead War.
Days Gone is a great game with a lot of heart. I reviewed the game back when it was released in 2019 and while it had it’s rough edges, the combat can be intense since it can have a swarm of zombies going at you all at once. The story was also a big factor as it was a captivating thanks to it’s interesting characters that kept me curious to see how it all ended.
Zombie Army 4: Dead War is a third-person sequel to the Zombie Army trilogy, which is a spin-off to the Sniper Elite series. It’s a good choice to have on your PS4 if you want something straight-forward as it’s all about killing waves of zombies with up to 3 friends in a 1940s Europe setting.
In a blog post from Sony, those in South Korea will not be getting Oddworld: Soulstorm on April 6 as it is currently “under exploration” and the release of the game will be announced at a later date.
In case you missed it, March had a crazy offering for PS Plus subscribers as Final Fantasy VII Remake was one of the free games on offer last month. If you haven’t played the JRPG remake and have yet to secure a copy to download, you have until April 5 to download it and all March 2021 offers. Destruction All-Stars is also part of that list of free games leaving on the 5th as it’s still currently available for free.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is now my favorite title from the Persona team by far. It’s one of those rare games where its main pillars work harmoniously, and you get lost in its charm. It’s a pristine JRPG, with enough style and substance to satisfy hardcore JRPG fans, Persona fans, and even those who rarely touch JRPGs.
