Jett: The Far Shore Free Expansion Launches This January, PC Release Is Also This Month
/Superbrothers and Pine Scented Software announced that they will be releasing a new campaign for JETT: The Far Shore for free called ‘Given Time’ on January 31. The PC version of the original game will also be available on Steam at the end of the month as well.
According to a PlayStation Blog on the expansion, creative director Craig D. Adams says the new ‘Given Time’ campaign will take place after the events of the game’s main story.
“As the player character Mei, you’ll awaken to find yourself in an emptier and quieter Ground Control. With only one other scout awake and a weathered JETT waiting outside for you, this solo journey offers more freedom and less dialogue as you investigate new and mysterious phenomena.” says Adams in the post.
According to the dev documentary video above detailing the free content, the ‘Given Time’ expansion is said to be a 12-hour campaign.
JETT: The Far Shore is also the latest addition to PlayStation Plus’ Game Catalog for January 2023. At least PS Plus Extra subscribers can download the game on PS5 and PS4 and give the game a try before the game’s free expansion goes live at the end of the month.
For a full rundown of what was added to PlayStation Plus this January, you can go through the list here as nine games are now added to the collection, such as Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition, Back 4 Blood, and Just Cause 4: Reloaded, Life is Strange, and more.
As for the PC version releasing on Steam, you can expect the game to be available on January 31, and that you can download a playable demo of the game right now to get a feel of the game’s exploration gameplay.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is now my favorite title from the Persona team by far. It’s one of those rare games where its main pillars work harmoniously, and you get lost in its charm. It’s a pristine JRPG, with enough style and substance to satisfy hardcore JRPG fans, Persona fans, and even those who rarely touch JRPGs.
