Life Is Strange 2: Episode 1 Comes Out This September
/Square Enix and developer Dontnod has announced Life is Strange 2. Episode 1 comes out on September 27 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Like the first game, this will be an episodic title that span five episodes. A short teaser was released confirming the release date.
There's not much details on the sequel's plot right now. The developers did mention to expect a new set of characters. More details on the sequel are planned sometime in August.
In the meantime, The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit is coming on June 26 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It was announced during Microsoft's E3 2018 conference and is set in the Life is Strange universe. To everybody's surprise, this will be a free title for all.
The first episode of Life is Strange Season 1 is free right now for those curious about the series. And since it's the Steam Summer Sale, there's a 75% discount for the entire first season, plus a 50% discount for the three-episode prequel Life is Strange: Before the Storm.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
