Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Remake Revealed, MGS Masters Collection Vol. 1 Releasing in 2023
/During the May 2023 PlayStation Showcase, Konami revealed a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, the title that served as a prequel to the original game.
Not much information was given beyond the teaser trailer showing animals eating each other then eventually panning to Snake himself hidden in the shadows.
Here’s a quick description of the remake.
“Discover the origin story of iconic military operative Snake and begin to unravel the plot of the legendary Metal Gear series. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater brings unprecedented new graphics, immersive stealth action gameplay and sounds to its riveting story as players once again return to the world of Metal Gear.”
According to the website, the remake will also be available on Xbox Series X|S and PC (through Steam).
Right after the remake was revealed, they also announced the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 coming to PS5, as it contains the original Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2, and Metal Gear Solid 3 for the PS5. The interesting thing about this collection is that a Vol. 2 is planned, suggesting other titles from the franchise such as Metal Gear Solid 4 and Metal Gear Solid 5 could come to the PS5 in the future.
This will be music to the ears of kids who grew up on the series, but for the uninitiated, there’s nothing quite like the Mario & Luigi games. Mario & Luigi Brothership does its best to appeal to a wide range of players with charming presentation and a strong new Battle Plug system, but not everyone will be enamored with its reflex-testing gameplay.
