Sony Ends the Big PlayStation Showcase With a Lengthy Spider-Man 2 Gameplay Presentation
/The big PlayStation showcase concluded with a lengthy gameplay presentation of Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
The gameplay presentation was over 10-minutes long and you can watch it below.
It starts with the reveal of Kraven the Hunter being included in the sequel. They fast-forward to six months and also reveal that we will indeed play Spider-Man when he’s infected by the symbiote, which eventually becomes Venom as Eddie Brock as the new host.
With Spidey wearing the symbiote suit, he has access to unique abilities. After a quick skirmish with Kraven’s men, the game switches to the other Spider-Man, Miles Morales, who is in the other side of New York tracking down Doctor Conners, also known as the lizard.
It seems Kraven and his men are hunting the now transformed doctor and the spideys are trying to save him. A crazy setpiece happens, showing the player switching between the two Spider-Mans, though it’s not clear if this feature is exclusive to certain moments in the game or if we can do that on the fly as we roam the open world.
Once the presentation ends, we are greeted with Fall 2023 release window. No exact date just yet, but the game is still set for release this year.
Guilty Gear Strive is not only a miraculous 60fps port that makes the most minimal of sacrifices, keeping the 2021 masterpiece’s crisp animated effects and characters, but they managed to bring over every one of the game’s features to the aging Nintendo Switch with minimal loading times.
