PlayPark's MU Online Enters Season 14.2, Adds Rune Mage Class
/PlayPark’s MMORPG MU Online for the Southeast Asia and Maya servers are entering Season 14.2 on September 24,2020 which adds new maps, items, new features, and a new payable class called the Rune Mage.
The Rune Mage is the new class added to MU Online and is a free addition to the game once Season 14.2 goes live. Known as an offensive spell caster, the class is equipped with a Rune Mace and El Haz Shield and has an array of spells unqiue to her class.
Season 14.2 adds the Cubera Mines and Abyss Atlan maps with the level cap raised to 1,150. And with the roof a little bit higher only means more loot to hunt for once the patch goes live. Items added to the game are a level 700 and 750 Ancestral Earrings, level 900 Awakened Soul Weapons, and the level 1,000 Frost Blue Eye armor set.
Season 14.2 also comes with an improvement to the game’s questing system, a rework with the Summoner class, plus the inclusion of the Guardian System that comes with a Phantasmal Steed for characters above level 800.
The patch also adds the Switch Scroll item which apparently when activated lowers hardware usage temporarily to provide an optimal performance.
Celebrating the launch of Season 14.2 with events
In celebration of the launch of Season 14.2, PlayPark also announced a few events for players to score some rewards. It starts with a Login Celebration Event that gives players free items only if they accumulate 80 hours of online game time from September 24 to October 1, 2020. Spend that much time and you’ll earn a Master Scroll (3 Days), Gold Channel Ticket (3 Days), Bless of Light (Greater) x10, or 1000 Goblin Points.
PlayPark will also host a Rune Mage Level Race from September 24 and will run until October 29, 2020. The competition is rather simple as the first players on the SEA and Maya servers to bring their Rune Mage character level past 250, 401, 600, and finally 801 will receive a series of in-game rewards from PlayPark MU. If a newly- registered player actually becomes the first in your respective server, rewards will be doubled. PlayPark didn’t specify exactly what these in-game rewards will be if you reached the levels mentioned.
The full list of patch notes for Season 14.2 can be found on Playpark’s official MU Online page.
Writer’s take (IF NEEDED)
Metaphor: ReFantazio is now my favorite title from the Persona team by far. It’s one of those rare games where its main pillars work harmoniously, and you get lost in its charm. It’s a pristine JRPG, with enough style and substance to satisfy hardcore JRPG fans, Persona fans, and even those who rarely touch JRPGs.
