Pyramid Head from Silent Hill Is The Next Killer In Dead By Daylight
/Dead By Daylight developers Behaviour Interactive celebrated the game’s 4th year anniversary of their 4v1 multiplayer horror game by revealing the next chapter for the game - the Silent Hill chapter, adding Silent Hill’s iconic monster Pyramid head as the new killer, Silent Hill 3’s Heather Mason as a new survivor, and a new map called Midwich Elementary School.
This paid DLC was revealed during Behaviour Interactive Interactive’s livestream session celebrating the game’s fourth year of content since it’s official launch. The Silent Hill chapter isn’t the only big news for Dead by Daylight players as they also announced cross-play support and a major graphics overhaul.
Pyramid Head seems to be a perfect addition to the roster of killers currently available in the game. The design of this monster is based on his appearance in Silent Hill 2, he still wears that heavy looking pyramid-shaped object as a hat while dragging his menacing great knife around as if it’s dead weight. His unique ability in the game allows him to stab the ground with his sword to damage anyone in front of him. His blade can also dig trenches that will require survivors to work around as they run away from the killer.
The new Survivor joining the game is Heather Mason (Cheryl Mason, for those that knows the history) the protagonist of Silent Hill 3. Then, the new map is the Midwich Elementary, which is based on the location found in the original Silent Hill game. It’s a perfect fit as fog is an important element for both the Silent Hill and Dead by Daylight world. According to the developers, this map will be riddled with Easter eggs, so there’s some extra fun added in while running away from Pyramid Head once the Dead by Daylight: Silent Hill chapter goes live on June 19.
The test server for the Silent Hill content is now live so players can test out the new additions to the game before it’s release in a few weeks.
Dead by Daylight is available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox One, Android and iOS mobile devices.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is now my favorite title from the Persona team by far. It’s one of those rare games where its main pillars work harmoniously, and you get lost in its charm. It’s a pristine JRPG, with enough style and substance to satisfy hardcore JRPG fans, Persona fans, and even those who rarely touch JRPGs.
