/DC Fandome happened last weekend and we were given a series of announcements to get any DC fan excited, and one of them was our first look at Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which was teased a couple of weeks ago.
Take in the reveal trailer and all it’s glory below and read up on what we know so far about this game.
Rocksteady is giving Batman a break after working on the Batman Arkham game series for years and is taking a shot at their take on Task Force X, or most famously known as the Suicide Squad.
When is it coming out?
Rocksteady is taking it’s time with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League as it’s set to release in 2022. The confirmed platforms for the game so far are PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
How does it play?
They haven’t gone into specifics just yet but Suicide Squad: Kill Justice League the is a third-person open-world action adventure shooter that can be played either solo or up to four players in online co-op. If you’re a solo player, you have the option to switch between the characters at any time.
It’s a more condensed group as the playable characters announced so far are Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark. They will each provide a unique moveset and their own way to traverse the game world, and a “variety of weapons to customize and skills to master.” according to a statement from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
No official gameplay footage so far was released by Rocksteady studios and no word if we can expect more playable characters.
What’s the setting?
Rocksteady confirms that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a continuation of its Batman: Arkhamn-verse. We don’t know to what extent but be sure to expect story details from the previous Arkham games to continue in this game.
Suicide Squad is set in an open-world Metropolis with Task Force X forced to do Amanda Waller’s bidding since she planted bombs in the heads of each member of the villainous group. At the end of the reveal trailer, it shows the team’s target is non other than Superman himself, but not being his usual hero self.
The Justice League, DC’ greatest super heroes, are Task Force X’s prime targets but for now Superman is the only member in the league officially confirmed to be in the game.
That’s currently all the available details on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. We will update this page once more official details surface in the future.
