Spellbreak Chapter 1: The Spellstorm Update Goes Live On December 15
/ Carlos HernandezProletariat, the studio responsible for the free-to-play battle royale game Spellbreak, have announced that Chapter 1: The Spellstorm update will go live on December 15, 2020. It adds new story-driven quests, a first for the online game.
This is the developers way of expanding the Spellbreak universe and giving us more lore to get a better understanding of this new world.
In a press release sent out on this update, players will “Unravel the mystery of the Spellstorm with Chapter 1. The Hollow Lands is in an ever-changing state of ruin thanks to the Fracture and the resulting Spellstorm. Racing against time, the Order of the Vowbreakers seeks invaluable artifacts that may hold the secret to pushing back the Spellstorm and reclaiming the Hollow Lands.”
The update will add story-driven quests that will span for 12 weeks once The Spellstrom update goes live, and will include the same spell slinging gameplay Spellbreak is known for since it’s launch back in September. During the course of the storyline, Spellbreak will introduce three NPC characters as well as change the game world each week.
The Deadmoss region will also receive an overhaul with improved environments and other changes, so expect players to land on that area more often when the new update goes live.
With Chapter 1: The Spellstorm, new cosmetic items will be available through the game’s Chapter progression system that features 50 levels of rewards for players to earn.
