Watch Dogs: Legion - The Best Gadgets And Tech Upgrades To Unlock First
/With DedSec's London team having nearly been wiped out and needing to build up their ranks from scratch, gadgets and weapons for your new operatives aren't as readily available without putting some footwork in. Here are some of the best gadgets and tech upgrades to get early on in Watch Dogs: Legion.
Infiltrator Spiderbot
The new miniature spiderbot featured in Legion is one of the most powerful tools at your disposal. With its small stature, it can sneak into most any stronghold undetected by slipping easily behind and under cover, crawling into vents, and it even has the ability to do non-lethal take downs on unknowing enemies by electrocuting them in the face. Totally non-lethal.
Aside from all of that, what makes the spiderbot handy is that it interact with objects that otherwise can only be done in person such as unlocking security boxes and picking up collectibles. Add to the fact that releasing the spiderbot is done via lobbing it at an angle makes it easier for it to get to otherwise hard to reach areas.
Attract Hack
Most of the hacking interactions throughout the entirety of the Watch Dogs series, outside of peeking through security cameras, is setting up traps to take down the opposition. You can set the trap as a default skill but the trouble lies when enemies don't get close enough to actually trigger them. Being able to actually lure them towards the trap to guarantee that they get triggered has always my go-to early upgrade in each game.
Disabling Drones and Turrets
You'll run into a lot drones earlier than you might expect and most of your hacking interactions with a lot of the weaponized ones will be locked behind a tech upgrade. Best to at least unlocked the ability to disable each of them as that alone will be a great help throughout the entirety of the game.
Deep Profiler
The deep profiler won't directly aid you during stealth or combat encounters but is still one of the best early tech upgrades that you can get. This lets you scan NPCs to reveal their so much detail. From their abilities, possible extra weapons and gadgets, to their job and even their daily schedule. Watch Dogs: Legion tracks each individual's routine, showing where they will be and what they will be doing within certain hours of the day, making it easier for you to track them down if you intend to recruit them.
Watch Dogs: Legion tries something new with their whole "Play as Anyone" system making each operative unique in their own way. But no matter who you are using, be they a super spy or a flatulent elder, these early tech upgrades and gadgets will surely make things easier in your quest to bring DedSec back and stop Zero-Day. Before going out of your way to recruit new members to you cause, I highly recommend grabbing a few stray tech points littered around the city and purchasing a few of these upgrades first.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is now my favorite title from the Persona team by far. It’s one of those rare games where its main pillars work harmoniously, and you get lost in its charm. It’s a pristine JRPG, with enough style and substance to satisfy hardcore JRPG fans, Persona fans, and even those who rarely touch JRPGs.
