Super Smash Bros. Announced For The Switch
/A short tease but yes, Super Smash Bros. is finally confirmed for the Nintendo Switch.
They closed their latest Nintendo Direct presentation with a short trailer featuring the Splatoon Inklings battling it out, then everything turned black. As she turns around you see the Super Smash Bros. logo reflecting in her eyes, with Mario and Link facing her.
It's safe to say the Splatoon Inklings are confirmed for the game.
That's about all the details so far. Super Smash Bros. is currently the "working title" given by Nintendo and they are planning for a 2018 release.
This isn't much of a surprise since thanks to the success of the Nintendo Switch it was almost certain that we will see Super Smash Bros heading to the new console. Plus, the ability to play anywhere just fits with Super Smash Bros. This is big and is instantly a title to look out for this year.
During the Nintendo Direct partner showcase that aired on August 28, Sega revealed that Yakuza Kiwami, the first game of the long-running Yakuza series, is coming to the Nintendo Switch on October 24 via the Nintendo eShop.
