4 Things to Look Out for at ESGS 2019
/Today’s a big day for gamers and esports enthusiasts as ESGS 2019 officially starts from October 25 to 27, 2019 at the SMX Convention Center. We’ve checked out the venue a bit early to see what this year’s offerings will be once it opens its doors.
Here are some promising booths you can check out here in ESGS 2019.
Nintendo is here!
Well, sort of. But I hope your body is ready because the Nintendo Switch is being highly featured with a large booth. Brought to you by Maxsoft (www.maxsoftonline.com), the Nintendo Switch booth offers several demo stations and units that feature some of the best games you can play right now in the Nintendo Switch as well as a few upcoming titles that will be out this year such as Just Dance 2020 coming out on November 5, and Harvest Moon: Mad Dash which will come out on October 29, 2019!
The Indie Fiesta area is bigger than ever!
This year’s Indie Fiesta features a roster of fresh and promising indie games that you can check out. Try out locally-made games and have a chat with its developers that are ready to entertain your questions and feedback! Some noteworthy games to look out for in the Indie Fiesta booth are Ang Ospital (Underdog Games), Couch Potato (Dan Liamco & Vaughn Pinpin), Good Knight (Team Good Knight), and many more!
A LOT of Huge Discounts and Gaming Deals happening during the whole event!
Lots of gaming peripheral brands are offering huge discounts on select items right now in ESGS 2019. From mechanical keyboards, gaming mice, and headsets discounted up to 50% to full-on gaming laptops and desktop pcs; you don’t want to miss out on these exclusive deals that are only available right here at ESGS 2019.
You can check out our dedicated article here to see a detailed list of discounted products available at ESGS 2019.
Fighting Game Arena is where it’s at!
Brawlfest has evolved. This year’s fighting games offering at ESGS2019 comes in the form of Fighting Game Arena by Gariath Concepts and Playbook PH. FGA offers fighting game enthusiasts and fans a chance to play casuals during Day 1. For the weekend, you can compete or watch as FGA features a bounty of fighting game tournaments for Tekken 7, Street Fighter V, Soul Calibur 6, Smash, Samurai Shodown, and more!
ESGS 2019 is taking some interesting changes in its games convention format with wonderful results. Aside from the 4 attractions and booths we mentioned, there’s a whole lot more than the event is offering (artist alley, game demos, merch). They even double down on its event aesthetic by going full-on cyberpunk on the venue grounds and introducing it’s first event mascot through Astra. It’s nice to see Gariath Concepts and ESGS progressing forward bit by bit with how they mix up its gaming event offerings every year. And we’re totally excited about what the future holds for them come 2020.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is now my favorite title from the Persona team by far. It’s one of those rare games where its main pillars work harmoniously, and you get lost in its charm. It’s a pristine JRPG, with enough style and substance to satisfy hardcore JRPG fans, Persona fans, and even those who rarely touch JRPGs.
