Ubisoft's Post-launch Content for Assassin's Creed Valhalla Includes Two Expansions
/Ubisoft and developer Ubisoft Montreal have announced the post-content plan set for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, which includes a quest available at launch, and two major expansions that sends players to Ireland and Paris, all bundled in the game’s season pass.
For starters, players who purchased the Gold, Ultimate, or the Collector editions of the game will score a free The Legend of the Beowulf quest on launch day. If you’re not keen about getting those kinds of editions, you can opt for the season pass which is priced at $39.99 to get the additional quest.
The season pass will include the two expansions slated for 2021. The first one coming out, Wrath of the Druids, is set in Ireland where you face a mysterious druidic cult and is expected to be out Spring 2021. The second expansion, titled Siege of Paris, will have players reliving an “ambitious battle in Viking history with key historical figures of a war-torn Frankia”
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla will have free seasonal content starting with season 1, which will be contain a series of free narrative content and in-game events that will be available after launch.
Here’s what to expect in season 1:
A New Settlement Area – Allowing players to continue to grow and evolve their settlement.
A Traditional Viking Festival – The Yule Festival, for players to experience in their settlement.
A New Game Mode – The River Raids. Building on Valhalla’s core raiding mechanic the mode will deliver a dynamic, challenging and highly replayable raid experience.
The Addition of the Ranks for Jomsviking – In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players can not only create their lieutenant to be part of their raiding crew, but also recruit some from their friends and the community. In Season 1, players will see an update to the Jomsviking feature which will allow their Jomsviking to earn XP and rank up—the higher will be the rank of the lieutenant, the more silver players will earn when recruited by other players.
Each season will also contain new player skills, abilities, new gear, and cosmetic items for your settlement, longship, even your horse and raven. This type of content can be expected in future seasons.
Each season will last for three months and is aimed to cater to all players regardless of their progression in the game. Season 2 is expected to launch sometime in March 2021 and will come with a new game mode that “builds on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s core combat experiences”, a new Jomsviking update, festivals in your settlement, more gear and items, and more.
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is set for a November 10, 2020 release on Google Stadia, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and next-gen consoles the Xbox Series X. The PlayStation 5 version of the game will be available on November 12.
After 15 years Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is now available on PC, Xbox Series, and even PC Game Pass. But it didn’t launch smoothly as at launch players experienced numerous bugs and issues as they returned to The Zone.
