Cyberpunk 2077 Review Round Up Before Its Release
/ Carlos Hernandez
The reviews embargo for Cyberpunk 2077 has lifted and some major media sites have pulled the trigger on what they think about CD Prokect RED’s latest RPG.
The first wave of reviews are out and collectively it places Cyberpunk 2077 over the 90 Metacritics score as of this writing.
Overall, it seems like a solid RPG that makes the wait for the game’s release that much harder since we have just days away until official release. But no game is perfect and it seems Cyberpunk 2077’s biggest issue is that it’s plagued with bugs, so there’s a high chance we might get a ‘roach on top of a house’ meme equivalent with Cyberpunk 2077.
For those still not convinced if this is a game for you, by all means, check out the reviews we collated to see if Cyberpunk 2077 is worth a day 1 purchase or continue your wait and see approach. Another thing I noticed among all the reviews is that this is indeed a lengthy game, with some reviewers holding a final verdict as they want to spend more time in Night City.

As much as Cyberpunk 2077 received a mostly positive reception by the media so far, we will only get a real picture on the quality of Cyberpunk 2077 on release as the day 1 patch will be a big factor as most reviewers are playing a pre-release review copy of the game. Do remember that the latest delay was to not only make sure the game runs smoothly on all platforms (current and next-gen), it is also to improve stability and squash bugs.
Preloading of the game is now available for most platforms at this point and if you are wondering when the game will go live digitally, you can check the exact date and times here.
