Here's How To Avoid The Cyberpunk 2077 Takemura Bug Found In Patch 1.1
/ Carlos HernandezThe major 1.1 patch for CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 has gone live for all platforms which fixed numerous bugs and improves stability and performance, it came with a game-breaking bug that could ruin a player’s playthrough. The bug affects the ‘Down on the Street’ main quest and here’s a simple workaround for now before a full fix is implemented in the next patch.
In the ‘Down on the Street’ quest, Goro Takemura is suppose to end the quest through a phone call, but a new bug prevents Takemura from taking, which prevents the main quest from ever starting, putting you in a position where you can’t progress through the main story.
The developers are aware of the issue that came with patch 1.1 and has provided a workaround if players found themselves coming up to the quest with the game breaking bug. CD Projekt Red has a support site for the game and it provides a temporary solution for this problem.
Here’s the solution:
Load a gamesave before Takemura and V leave Wakako's office.
Finish the conversation with Takemura outside the office right away
Right after the finished conversation and when the quest was updated, skip 23h.
See if the holocall triggers and the dialogue with Takemura starts
Naturally, you need an earlier game file to make use of the workaround. If you are not at that point in the main story, I suggest you create multiple saves leading up to it so that you won’t find yourself stuck and waiting for a permanent fix to come around.
Cyberpunk 2077 had a controversial and disappointing launch back in December. If you’re thinking of getting the game, we highly suggest you steer away from the console version as we gave it a 5/10 due to unforgiveable bugs and various issues to a point that PlayStation removed the game out of their online store. For the PC version, we gave it a 7/10 on the PC version as there is potential in this open world RPG.
