Patch 5.4 is a December patch so it’s going to be a long wait, but a minor patch, patch 5.35, will be released this week on October 13 which adds the latest chapter in the “Save the Queen” questline and a new brozjan Southern Front battle content.
Writer’s take: I’ve been playing Final Fantasy XIV pretty consistently during most of 2020 and the 5.4 patch hitting in December sounds like the perfect opportunity to take a break as October and November will be heavy with not only all the new games coming out but the next-gen consoles making their debuts.
