Spellbreak's First Seasonal Update, Prologue: The Gathering Storm, Launches This October

Developer Proletariat announced Spellbreak’s first seasonal update and it’s called Prologue: The Gathering Storm and it will go live on October 22.
This will be the magic-slinging battle royale’s first major update since it’s launch back in September. The update includes new talents, a team deathmatch mode, new cosmetics that are all Halloween themed, and more.
Here’s a quick breakdown on what to expect from Prologue: The Gathering Storm.
New Content -- Prologue: The Gathering Storm will be free to all players and feature weekly quests with unique rewards
Introducing Clash Mode -- 9v9 team deathmatch with 3 squads on each team
New Talents -- Enable players to further customize their playstyle
Vigor: Bonus health
Ambidextrous: Enables the passive class ability in your offhand gauntlet
Foresight: Reveals nearby players on your minimap and shows future shrines/circles
Halloween Content -- New Outfits, Artifacts, Cloudbursts, Afterglows, Emotes, and Badges! Just in time for “Hollowed Eve!”
Spellbreak is doing pretty well as the new battle royale kid on the block thanks to how the different elements mix with each other to provide a variety of results and options in the battlefield. The game released on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC with cross-play available.
Writer’s take: This is probably the next great battle royale title to come out since Apex Legends as it brings a fresh take on a famed genre mostly known to be survival shooters. Hopefully they can maintain a solid community to keep the games alive and the queues quick.
