In Bungie’s first ‘This Week at Bungie’ post for 2021, the developers revealed what to expect in Season 13, which will go live in February. Sadly, a new season means more of your look getting hit by sunsetting and farming old gear in their not sunset forms. Here’s a list of what’s leaving.

The community doesn’t seem happy that the loot they can farm is getting smaller and smaller. And to top it all off we are given reissued gear that debuted in previous seasons.

Reissued Weapons and Gear

Season 13 will also feature the reissued Dreaming City Reverie Dawn armor, Dreambane armor, Waking Vigil (hand cannon), the Sleepless (rocket launcher), Vouchsafe (sniper rifle), and the Retold Tale (shotgun). In the Moon, the has been reissued as well as Heretic (rocket launcher), Blasphemer (shotgun), Apostate (sniper rifle), and Premonition (pulse rifle).

Yes, it’s a bummer hunting for these weapons once again but Bungie states that the new version of these weapons will feature unique rolls never seen in these weapons, so get ready to revisit the Shattered Throne and Pit of Heresy dungeons in February.

The amount of guns and armor available is at it’s lowest point thanks to the introduction of sunsetting gear, which for those unfamiliar, caps the gears light power, leaving it ineffective for content that requires high light power.

For newer players, the sunset won’t be a big blow to your arsenal as the old gears returning are probably new to your eyes. But for the avid players, it’s a different story. it’s a frustrating time to be an avid Destiny 2 player as your weapons become ineffective for high-end content and you are required to get newer versions of the gear you’ve already owned and used for a long time.

Since the launch of Destiny 2’s latest expansion Beyond Light, the purge of a good chunk of Destiny 2’s content to the Destiny Content Vault (full list found here)
