Hitman 3 Review Roundup
/IO Interactive is releasing the third and final installment set in the world of assassination with Hitman 3 tomorrow and initial reviews are in.
What’s the verdict? At first glance, many are giving high praise and calling it a fitting end to the trilogy, here are a few reviews to give you an idea of what to expect if you’re planning to give Hitman 3 a whirl this week.
Eurogamer (Eurogamer recommended): “IO's final World of Assassination game is closer to a seasonal content update than a sequel, but it's a thrilling endeavour all the same.” — Edwin Evans-Thirlwell
IGN (9/10): “With some of the most surprising and imaginative levels in the series so far, Hitman 3 may feel largely familiar to its two most-recent predecessors, but just thinking of the hours upon hours of chaos, carnage, and cruel comedy that each of its six outstanding new maps will produce makes me giddy.” — Luke Reilly
VG247 (5/5): It’s a fitting finale for 47 – at least for now – and it has naturally left me thrilled to see what IO does with James Bond or whatever else comes next. It might only be January – but I can pretty much guarantee this will end the year as one of my 2021 favourites." — Alex Donaldson
Gamespot (9/10): “What's good about Hitman--its level design and the creativity, experimentation, and exploration that affords--is great in Hitman 3.” — Phil Hornshaw
Arstechnica (no score): “A solid if unambitious expansion pack—and that should tell you whether to buy this one or catch up on Hitman 2 instead.” — Sam Machovech
PC Gamer (90/100): “These are some of the best systems-driven stealth games on PC, and Hitman 3 tops the series off with a superb collection of levels—some of which are among the best in the entire Hitman series.” — Andy kelly
Games Radar (4.5/5): “There's something endlessly satisfying about unpacking and mastering the Groundhog Day playgrounds of Hitman 3. It should get boring; watching the same guards patrol their patrols, or workers work and characters wander well-worn tracks you know so well. But it never gets old.” — Leon Hurley
It sounds like IO Interactive has mastered their craft with Hitman 3 while some suggest that no major changes were done to the formula seen in the last two games.
Hitman 3 will be out tomorrow, January 21, 2021 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch (cloud version), Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Epic Games Store).

Metaphor: ReFantazio is now my favorite title from the Persona team by far. It’s one of those rare games where its main pillars work harmoniously, and you get lost in its charm. It’s a pristine JRPG, with enough style and substance to satisfy hardcore JRPG fans, Persona fans, and even those who rarely touch JRPGs.
