How to Download and Play Gundam Extreme VS. Maxi Boost ON for Free Before Release
/For those unaware, PS4 owners are able to play the upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS. Maxi Boost ON for free a few weeks before its worldwide release on July 30th, 2020. Following the closed beta back in April, Bandai Namco has put out an Open Access version of the game available to download and free to play online on the weekends until release.
To download the open access version, you can find it on the Asia PSN. We recommend searching on the Thailand and Singapore PSN accounts if you are looking for the English version. PlayStation Plus isn't required to play this game online but you will only be able to access the game during the open beta server hours.
The schedule for the open access beta are as follows (SGT):
· 20th June, 11am to 21st June, 11am
· 27th June, 11am to 28th June, 11am
· 4th July, 11am to 5th July, 11am
· 11th July, 11am to 12th July, 11am
· 18th July, 11am to 19th July, 11am
· 25th July, 11am to 26th July, 11am
The open access version features a roster with a whopping 185 playable units usable in both the online player matches and casual matches as well as the single player Branch Battle mode. Players who pre-order the digital version will get an extra 24 hours to play during each open access session.
Here's the schedule (SGT):
· 21st June, 11am to 22nd June, 11am
· 28th June, 11am to 29th June, 11am
· 5th July, 11am to 6th July, 11am
· 12th July, 11am to 13th July, 11am
· 19th July, 11am to 20th July, 11am
· 26th July, 11am to 27th July, 11am
We've been having a blast playing during the open beta hours and have still yet to try out all of the available units in the game. The inclusion of the single-player mode is a great way to get your bearing on the controls and get to see some of the large boss units exclusive to that mode. Metaphor: ReFantazio is now my favorite title from the Persona team by far. It’s one of those rare games where its main pillars work harmoniously, and you get lost in its charm. It’s a pristine JRPG, with enough style and substance to satisfy hardcore JRPG fans, Persona fans, and even those who rarely touch JRPGs.
