Rainbow Six: Siege's Next Limited Time Event Is Called M.U.T.E. Protocol

Ubisoft is sticking to the schedule of more limited events in Rainbow Six: Siege’s Year 5 by introducing the M.U.T.E. Protocol, a two-week event running from August 4 to August 17.
The theme is obviously futuristic with a splash of Blood Dragon based on how it was presented in it’s trailer which you can watch below.
M.U.T.E. Protocol brings a new take on the 5v5 game mode Secure Area and will take place in a more cyberpunk-like version of the Tower map. Attackers are tasked to shut down M.U.T.E. Protocol while defenders protect it. It looks like Attackers have the ability to switch from Operator to Drone form while Defenders have the ability to teleport around the map by entering indestructable cameras found in the map. Most of the operators now in the game will be available with the exception of these operators benched for “gameplay reasons”:
Twitch
Thatcher
Mozzie
Mute
Maestro
Valkyrie
Dokkaebi
Echo
Goyo
Clash
Montagne
Blitz
Caveira
Just like previous limited events in Rainbow Six: Siege, M.U.T.E. Protocol comes with a collection of 26 cosmetic items that can be unlocked through event-exclusive booster packs that includes no duplicates. Meaning, if you buy 26 M.U.T.E. Protocol packs, you get all 26 items. Among the items in this collection are customization options for operators such as Jackal, Lion, Ying, Kapkan, Mira, Mute, Oryx, and Vigil. There are also new weapon skins and other cosmetics to further expand your collection of skins.
This is the second time limited event for Year 5 and based on the plans for Siege’s content this year, each season will introduce a new event plus a new Battle Pass for players to progress in.
