Hearthstone's 19.4 Patch Adds First Mini-Set And New Content For Battlegrounds
/Blizzard announced that the new patch for their online card game Heathstone will include the game’s first mid-season mini-set called the Darkmoon Races which adds new cards to the game, changing up the current meta.
This is new for Hearthstone as since launch we’ve been given a new expansion after how many months, changing up how you play the game. Compared to the bigger expansions we are familiar with, these mini-expansions adds 35 new cards to the season.
To unlock these cards, you can buy the complete set (total of 66 cards) for $14.99 or 2,000 Gold when the 19.4 patch goes live on January 21, 2021. The min-set consists of new cards for each class as well as new dual class cards, cards that can be used by two classes.
You can check out all 35 cards from Blizzard right here.
Battlegrounds Updates
Patch 19.4 also comes with new content for Battlegrounds players as this update adds two new heroes and new minions, also changing up the meta for this battle royale-esque game mode.
These new heroes also comes with new minions to pick from the tavern as demons were given a bit of love with the addition of Soul Devourer and Ring Matron.
Arena was also given an update as the game mode where you make a deck from the cards you pick from a pool of cards will now only feature cards from these sets:
Dadrmoon Races Mini-Set
Madness at the Darkmoon Faire
Scholomance Academy
Ashes of Outland
Demon Hunter Initiate
The Boomsday Project
Journey to Un’goro
One Night in Karazhan
Basic Set
Classic Set
And a patch won’t be a patch without a list of bug fixes and game improvements, which you can find all detailed in Blizzard’s post.
The new hero to be released in the Book of Heroes solo content will be Prince Anduin which will feature a bit of backstory for the hero. Defeating all 8 bosses found in this Book of Heroes will score you 1 Priest Pack that contains Priest only cards found in the Standard set.
Hearthstone’s last big expansion was the Madness at the Darkmoon Faire, launched last year in November , adding 135 new cards to the Year of the Phoenix. With it came a new game mode called Duels as well as a battle pass system everyone is familiar with nowadays, replacing the game’s old rewards system.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is now my favorite title from the Persona team by far. It’s one of those rare games where its main pillars work harmoniously, and you get lost in its charm. It’s a pristine JRPG, with enough style and substance to satisfy hardcore JRPG fans, Persona fans, and even those who rarely touch JRPGs.
