Warcraft III: Reforged Announced At Blizzcon 2018
/ Carlos HernandezBlizzard have announced Warcraft III: Reforged at Blizzcon 2018, a remake of the last real-time strategy game based on the Warcraft franchise.
The time of remakes has indeed arrived and is in full swing. When Blizzard says remake, they mean they’ve reconstructed every asset in Warcraft III: Reforged. Every character, structure, and environmental object has been worked on from the start. You can also expect new audio and rerecorded vice-overs for every cutscene in the game. A visual overhaul with Wacraft III’s gameplay concept intact.
All 60 campaign missions are being redeveloped with the new assets created for the game. Blizzard will also be including more traditional matchmaking and social features through Battle.net. The game’s gameplay may remain the same, but the team working on Reforged is implementing various balance changes - changing hero skills and unit stats to make it more balance and modern for competitive and casual play.
Reforged will also include the Warcraft 3’s The Frozen Throne campaign, so we all get to revisit the moment Arthas was introduced in the game to the moment he was driven mad, and eventually becoming the next wielder of Frostmourne.
Warcraft 3: Reforged will also include an upgraded version of the World Editor - a feature allowing players to create their own custom maps and games.
Warcraft III: Reforged will launch in 2019. Pre-orders are already available and will cost you $29.99 to revisit this classic.
