Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time Delayed For A Second Time

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time is getting the remake treatment over at Ubisoft Pune but it looks like it has been delayed indefinitely.

This marks the second time the remake was pushed back. Prince of Persia: the Sands of Time was first revealed back in September during Ubisoft Foward —the company’s digital presentation showcasing the latest titles from the gaming company — and was initially aimed for a January 21, 2021 release.
On December 9, the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake announced it’s first delay and was now aiming for a March 18, 2021 release. Now, they delayed the game again but this time with no new date announced, saying that they will use the additional time to "deliver a remake that feels fresh while remaining faithful to the original".
The team working on the Sand of Time remake are developers in Ubisoft Pune, based in Mumbai, India. Based on the reveal trailer, everything about Prince of Persia: Sands of Time seems to be intact. From the time rewind gameplay unique to this title down to the voice acting as the original actors that worked on the original game is said to have returned and have rerecorded the audio lines for the remake as well as worked on motion-capture for the game.
The reaction since it’s announcement has been negative so far and it’s mostly directed at how the remake looks visually. Due to other remakes released before Sands of Time, many weren’t too keen at the new look to a point that the reveal trailer currently has more dislikes votes than likes on Youtube.
Ubisoft has been pushing back their upcoming titles lately as this isn’t the first time we had a game pushed out of at least the first quarter of 2021. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the company pushed back Far Cry 6 and Rainbow 6 Quarantine. Far Cry 6 was originally planned for a February 2021 release but it together with Rainbow 6 Quarantine are now expected to launch anytime between April 2021 and the end of March 2022.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake is planned to come out on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
As to where I stand with the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, this is already a no-brainer for anyone who enjoyed the base game. The expansion not only adds more of what we want but also further challenges even the most skilled players, a feat I didn’t think was possible.
